SCHOOL ENTREE / Antwerpen (BE)

The entrance is the first impression a building makes on her visitors. The entrance of this school in Antwerp was urgently in need of renovation due to the ageing process of its intensive use. By using new glass doors, new internal walls combined with diagonal lightbars and a new floor this space looks refreshened and more dynamic than before. The parents of potential students are more likely to get a good first impression when entering this school. A wooden bench and an information sign complete the renovated entrance. By making a new window in one of the existing structural walls, the people of the administration get a better sight on visitors. The school’s logo consists out of a kite, which has been the inspiration to decorate the glass entrance with.
